Teen.com: Tell us about the two new singles you just released!
Charice: I released “Louder” and “Lost The Best Thing.” We’re gonna do the music video for “Louder” because I really love to dance and the song is really an inspirational song. I can totally dedicate that to all the haters out there. You know, like, I don’t need you. I don’t need no shoulder, you know? I’m gonna be a soldier. No one can bring me down. I’m just gonna do this and be brave. That’s why it’s called “Louder” because you being brave is so much louder than you being weak. It’s such an amazing song, such an inspirational song.
Teen.com: That sounds like a song that would be so perfect on Glee…
Charice: Yeah. That would be amazing! Especially if I’m gonna do a dance that would be a perfect song.
Teen: You should request that with Ryan Murphy and see what he says.
Charice: Let me call him. Hello? That would be awesome.
Teen.com: The Chasters are dying to know — does your album have an official title or release date yet?
Charice: Not yet! We’re still thinking about it. I’m still working on some more songs right now to put on the album and still gonna work on the music video, but once we finish all that, we’re gonna think about the title and the release date. But definitely it’s gonna come out maybe around October or something like that.
Teen.com: So excited! So far you’ve collaborated with Nick Jonas and Bruno Mars. Any other collabs you can tell us about?
Charice: Right now I can’t say anything about it, but it’s pretty exciting because I’ve worked with these great people and I can’t wait for my fans to see the back of the album. For sure, they’d be like, ‘Whoa, really? She worked with them?’ So, it’ll be amazing.
Teen.com: We need to ask you about your voice. Do you ever get embarrassed hearing people rave about it? Are you humble about it all?
Charice: Yeah, I’m a little embarrassed. Not in a bad way! It makes me feel like that because I know that there are a lot of talented people around the world and for me to be able to be discovered by these amazing people, it’s such an honor, like a dream come true. It makes me feel so proud because not only for myself, but for all the people that have the same dream as mine because I know that if I can do it, definitely they can do it.
Teen.com: Yeah! Because being compared to Mariah Carey and Celine Dion is kind of huge…
Charice: It is very cool, but at the same time it’s kind of like a big responsibility because every time you go somewhere or you perform or anything, you always have to show the people that you deserve that compliment. Nerve wracking!
We think Charice totally deserves the compliment! Are you excited about Charice’s new album and music vid? Do you want to see her dance and sing? And what do you think the name of Charice’s album should be?! Tell us in the comments below!
