When you think of the “Queen of Pop,” who is the first person that usually comes to mind? For pretty much all of the ’90s, no one could argue that the QoP was Britney Spears. But since then, we’ve seen celebs such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry (to name a few) tug at the reins, so we kinda just call them all the Queen of Pop. But finally, someone over at Rolling Stone decided that it wasn’t possible to have more than one. So through careful consideration of album sales, awards, airplay, kick-assness and more, only one came out on top [by a LONG shot].

Beyoncé has more Grammys than them all, more legend awards than them all, has been paid tribute by true legends of music, and was the 7th and only recipient from THIS generation of music, of an award that was only given out 8 times in the 36 year history of the American music awards. She’s only 30 which means by the time she retires she’ll have more Grammys than everyone. Her level of talent surpasses everyone’s, though some are close. Every female on this list has said that they want to be like Beyoncé in terms of of success. Most of these artists don’t even qualify to be any queen of any kind. This list is bull. Beyoncé is queen!
and there is no way in hell Rihanna is above Beyoncé.

it’s a tough call
The Queen of Pop is definitely Madonna. In order for someone to achieve that high standard, you have to be around for a long time, maybe 20 to 30 years. You also have to be a legend. As much as I love Lady Gaga, she is not the Queen of Pop because, in my opinion, she hasn’t reached that level yet and she’s only been around for three years. I also hate Rolling Stone Magazine for doing that article because most of the artists on that list shouldn’t even be on there. MADONNA=QUEEN OF POP.
