While the first ep of the new season of Glee was meh, we were pretty much blown away by one song in partic that New Directions sang — “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray. Sure, it had basically no relation the episode’s plot whatsoever, but we’ve gotta hand it to those Glee kids (and Ryan Murphy, we guess) — their version was great. But here’s a hard-hitting question for ya…which was one better? The Glee version, or Zac Efron and Amanda Bynes’ take on the upbeat tune?
As great as the Glee version was, it was a little too pitch perfect. The Hairspray version was more raw and way high energy-ed! So, it’s gotta be the Hairspray version.
