“Don’t Stop Believin’” is obvs Glee‘s signature tune. But it’s not the theme song. In fact, the only real opening-and-closing numbers for the show are a bunch of do do do’s. We never really thought about it, until Lea Michele tweeted:

@MsAmberPRiley and I did record an opening for #Glee that they never used! It was really cute!!”

We have so many questions now! Was it done diva-off style? Why was it cut? And what were the lyrics?!

While we could keep obsessing over the lack of an opening number, we took a stab at what our dream world version of it would have looked like. Starting with…

THE SONG: The ultimate theme song choice would’ve been “Loser Like Me!”

Considering it was written by the gleeks themselves, it fits them to a T! Especially this part:

“Push me up against the locker
And hey, all I do is shake it off
I’ll get you back when I’m your boss
I’m not thinkin’ ’bout you haters
‘Cause hey, I could be a superstar
I’ll see you when you wash my car”

It’s perf. Don’tcha think?
