The remake of perhaps the most epic of epic classic movies, Footloose, hits theaters this weekend, and um, we’re mostly excited because the main dude, Kenny Wormald, is a certified hottie. But Kenny isn’t the first dude to fill the legendary shoes of other legendary characters, ya know. Zac Efron in Hairspray, Jaden Smith in Karate Kid and Andrew Garfield in the new Spiderman — they deserve some kudos too. And we made all those guys, plus a few more, our Hotties of the Week.
Check out the hottest pic of the guys in character — plus deets on their movie remakes — below!
Kenny Wormald
Kevin Bacon made the role of Ren famous in the 1984 version of Footloose, but Kenny? Um, he's hotter so we like him better.

The original TRON dates way back to 1982, but Garrett played the lead in the 2011 version, TRON: LEGACY

Ok, the original Spiderman only came out a few years ago in 2002. But we're eagerly awaiting the Andrew Garfield version in 2012. Doesn't he make the most perfect Peter Parker?

The original Three Musketeers came into theaters in 1973 and then again in '93, but Logan's playing the part of the fourth musketeer in the 2011 version. Third time's a charm, we guess?!

Zac Efron pretty much perfected the role of Link Larkin in the 2007 remake of Hairspray.

The plot of the 2011 flick Arthur was nearly identical to the 1981 version, but the new one's got Russell Brand so, yeah, there's that.

The 2009 remake of the 1980 flick Fame got awful reviews, but we don't care. Asher Book! Just look at him!

The original flick came out in 1984, way before Jaden was even born, but his 2010 version of The Karate Kid was just as awesome. Seriously, check out that super high kick!

You may not have yet heard of Dan Rad's new flick Woman In Black unless you're familiar with the 1989 version. If not, look out for him as a creepy lawyer in the 2012 remake!
Photo: Cross Creek PicturesAnton Yelchin
Both the 1985 version and the new 2011 Fright Night revolve around a teen suspecting his neighbor is a vampire. See? Vampires were cool way before Twilight, you guys.

OMG like as soon as i saw Kenny wormald i fell in love is the hottest pedometer ever!!!!!!
I’ll take a side of Zac Efron and Garrett Hedlund to go. I’ll take Daniel Radcliffe for a snack. You can keep Jaden Smith, and all of those other ones. I don’t do girls so you can keep Logan Lerman as well.
