When Too-Tight Outfits Happen to Hot Curvy Ladies (Pics)

DISCLAIMER: Let’s get one thing straight. The purpose of this post isn’t to call anyone fat. In fact, we think accentuating your curves is awesome. But as with all things in life, there’s a right way of doing it, and a wrong way of doing it.

When everyone can see all the contours of your body, and/or anticipates a wardrobe malfunction with the inevitable snap of doublestick tape, then your dress may be a little too tight. And that’s what we saw last night at the 2011 American Music Awards from both Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera. Kelly’s always stood by her healthy figure, even during her American Idol days, and we love her for that! But her sequined red mermaid gown was so tight around her lower region, she looked completely disproportional, dontchyathink?

Meanwhile, Xtina’s beyond cleavage-baring, skintight mini left little to be desired. In fact, many are questioning whether or not she’s prego (again) because of her maybe apparent baby bump.

But they’re not the only ones to commit this fashion faux-pas. Plenty of curvalicious female celebs have worn outfits that are unflattering to their voluptuous bods. So to kinda stick it in their faces show you that we’re not just ragging on Kelly and Christina, here’s six more stars who’ve squeezed themselves into one-size-too-small ensembs.

Khloe Kardashian
Somehow Khloe found a dress that made her hips look bigger and her boobs seem smaller.

Jenna Ushkowitz
Normally, we’re big fans of the gleek’s RC looks. However, Jenna’s black gauze dress at the Grammys showed off some tummy bulge that we didn’t even know she had.

The Jersey Shore celeb’s shown off her cookah way more skin and cleave before. Yet we’re totally turned off (more than youge) by this leopard print, skintight, totally unflattering mini.

Demi Lovato
You know how much we love Demi’s body confidence. So it pains us to say that her 2011 VMAs dress could’ve afforded to be slightly bigger. See how bunchy it is in the crotch area?

Jessica Simpson
Sorry, J.Simps. Even the two animal print belts can’t distract us from that obvious muffin top.

Britney Spears
Oh, you guys have to remember Brit’s disastrous comeback performance at the 2007 VMAs. She should’ve sang “Gimme, gimme more… clothing!”

Which celeb’s outfit looked the most uncomfortable? Whose ensemb was the least flattering? Vote for the ultimate not-cute look below, then tell us who looked the best in the comments!

this whole article is disgusting. ‘we’re not calling anyone fat’.
you’re picking out celebrities who are at normal, regular weights and saying that they can’t wear what they want based on their size. why can’t they be as happy with themselves and wear what they want? oh yeah, because they’re not anorexic twigs like you think everyone should be. and you wonder why everyone today has massive insecurites. i can safely say this is one of the dumbest websites on the internet.

Most of the dresses were a bit too tight. Not saying they are fat at all, but wear the right size, you know? I see other girls out like this, omg, and i feel bad. Most think wearing clothes too tight for you makes you look skinnier. It doesn’t. Oh, and I love how ppl can ONLY be made fun of for looking ‘overweight’ (they usually aren’t) but there are skinny girls who are made fun of too. They may just be skinny, and people go around assuming they are anorexic. idk, try to see things both ways.

How tasteless and offensive. What are you trying to say here Teen.com? Let’s make fun of overweight girls one minute, and then wonder how low self=confidence and body image issues develop? How pathetic.

Are you kidding me teen? This is the reason why everyone is so insecure! Because of rude and prejudice articles like this! You don’t have a right to do this, especially on a website for teenagers!!

This is so stupid teen.com. First of all Demi lovato looks beautiful and curves means their healthy, that’s important. All of them are gorgeous. This is seriously offensive.

This is a bullcrap article, you guys should be encouraging teens to feel OK in their bodies and who they are, there are so many men out there who absolutely cannot stand skin and bones *I myself being one of them* and love a lady who has curves everywhere. I think Christina’s new looks is fantastic. As well as everyone else who isn’t afraid to show their skin even though they put some pounds on because they themselves know that there are still millions of people who are attracted to them even with the curves..

Women are supposed to have curves, not starve themselves until they are nothing but bones. I hate these articles that make little girls think they HAVE to look a certain way to be accepted. These kind of magazines are the reason why eating disorders happen in the first place. Garbage, whoever wrote this should be fired.

i don’t like sausage dresses because it makes you look bigger than you really are because it’s so tight around your hips.

Are yall serious about Demi Lovato? She looks beautiful. In fact, most of these girls look wonderful, and those pics of J Simp and Brit are at least two years old. If anything, these pictures should be encouraging to young girls, because there are too many unhealthily skinny celebs that we achieve to look like. Maybe teen websites should stop pretending like they understand why so many girls have eating problems and body issues, esp. if the site is just going to hypocritically turn around and post garbage like this.

the rest were kinda disugsting, but DEMI! how could you say that?

Really Teen?? This is why women have such a hard time accepting their bodies and feeling confident about themselves. This is a disgusting piece of media and I hope you feel ashamed for encouraging eating disorders and confidence issues.
