Can you believe it?! Nick Jonas has already wrapped up the first week of his Broadway run as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying! Reviews of the show have been great, and based on all his tweets, it sounds like he’s really living his dream. We seriously couldn’t be any more proud of him and hope Broadway really kicks his career into overdrive! Because it sure did for these other celebs who hit the stage runnin’…
Daniel Radcliffe and Darren Criss
Dan and Darren both perfomed as Finch in How to Succeed before Nick took over on January 24th. We couldn’t help smiling at the fact that those two were casted, since Dan played Harry Potter in the film series, and Darren played Harry in the spoof musicals A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel! The two Potters definitely set the bar high for Nick, but we’re sure he’ll be able to reach it!
Ashlee’s career may have taken a turn for the dramatic when she famously got caught lip-syncing on ,i>SNL in 2004 and awkwardly walked off-stage, but she had much better luck on the Broadway stage! In 2009, she starred as Roxie Hart in Chicago! No way she could have lip synced there.
Before you knew Ariana as Victorious’ Cat Valentine, she played the role of Charlotte in the musical 13 on Broadway – and even won a Youth Theatre Association Award for it! And did you know that she teaches music and dance to children every year through her brother’s organization, Broadway in South Africa? Ugh. So inspirational.
Vanessa’s run on the stage may not have been on the Great White Way, and it may have only been for three nights, but we LOVED seeing V as Mimi in the Hollywood Bowl’s production of Rent.
Corbin Bleu
Vanessa’s not the only High School Musical alum to step on stage to be in a real live musical! Corbin Bleu (aka Troy Bolton’s BFF Chad Danforth) starred in Broadway’s In the Heights in 2010! But wait – one more HSM star stepped onto a Broadway stage…
Drew Seeley
Drew may have only been heard in the first HSM movie (as Zac Efron’s singing voice), but when he played Prince Eric in Broadway’s The Little Mermaid, he proved that he’s a lot more than just a set of pipes. We’ve gotta say, he made the perfect Disney prince.
Adam Lambert
A ton of American Idols have hit the stage, from Diana DeGarmo in Hairspray, to Constantine Maroulis in Rock of Ages… but our favorite Idol-slash-Broadway star has to be Adam Lambert. He played the “brainless” dreamboat Fiyero in Wicked!
If anyone knows how huge Broadway can be for a career, it’s Glee star Lea Michele! Rachel Berry dreams of performing on Broadway someday, but Lea’s been there, done that. She starred (alongside her fellow Glee clubbers Jenna Ushkowitz and Jonathan Groff) in Spring Awakening before she lit up our TV screens!
So what do you think — is Broadway going to help turn Nick into an even bigger superstar than he is now? He’s no stranger to the Broadway stage (he’s been in shows like Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast and Annie Get Your Gun), but will How to Succeed be his best musical experience yet? And have you seen any of these other stars on stage? Let us know in the comments!

Adam Lambert–also my favorite singer that has done Broadway! Hurrah!!
