Pretty much every song in the Kelly library is girl-empowering and ex-boyfriend bashing, but her newest single is most def a must have on your playlist. Who says you have to be “lonely when you’re alone,” eh?!
2. Joe Jonas, “See No More”
Yup, even guys have a hard time getting over breakups like Joe did with…Taylor Swift whatever girl he’s singing about here. So just as you probably never want to see him again for breaking your fragile heart, he feels the same way. Done and done.
3. Beyonce, “Best Thing I Never Had”
You’re over him, right? You’re so so so happy you never hooked up/dated/whatever? Play this Beyonce song loud and proud and prove it.
4. Katy Perry, “The One That Got Away”
How many times does the girl actually end up with her high school boyfriend? Uh, maybe like, 3 times out of 10, but that wasn’t the case for Katy Perry. If you’re still mourning over the breakup with your first real love, we’re pretty sure this song is your life anthem.
5. Adele, “Someone Like You”
Ugh. God. The lyrics. The emotion. If you’re still on good terms with your ex boyfriend and…gasp…actually wish him the best, take solace in this Adele song. Oh, and realize that’s really mature of you and we commend you for it. That can’t be easy.
6. Ke$ha ft. 3OH!3, “Blah Blah Blah”
Because sometimes, all you wanna do is stop talking and start kissing your crush. Or that random rebound guy you’re using to get over your ex. Same diff.
7. Pink, “So What”
This Pink song is just proof that sometimes girls are way more awesome without boyfriends. We’ll leave it at that.
8. Justin Bieber ft. Drake, “Trust Issues”
If you and your dude have, um, “communication issues,” this is your jam! The Biebs doesn’t trust these women? Well, Bieber, we don’t trust you fellas either…
9. Christina Perri, “Jar of Hearts”
He dumped you and then he wants you back?! Nu uh. Not happening. Don’t succumb to the pressure! Just take a cue from Christina in this oh-so-awesome breakup song and realize he’s just not even a little bit worth it.
10. One Direction, “What Makes You Beautiful”
Sigh. Because every girl, regardless of relationship status, just wants to feel beautiful sometimes. And the hotties of One Direction can totally make that happen for ya.
