Dear Darren Criss,
With Valentine’s Day coming up and all, I thought this would be the perfect time to confess my love for you besides just writing it on my Twitter and gushing about it to all my friends like a little girl. I know your job requires you to kiss dudes (and occasionally girls), but I’m totally fine with it so long as I’m your one and only by the end of the day. That’s love for ya right there.
It feels like it was only yesterday when I first felt the “L” word for you. It wasn’t after watching A Very Potter Musical back in ’09 (hey, it didn’t go viral at my alma mater ’til like two years after it came out), and it wasn’t even after you sang that Katy Perry song on Glee. The feeling actually hit me when I first heard you croon ”Baby, It’s Cold Outside” with whatshisface. From then on, I knew you were the only teenage dreamboat for me.
The feelings only grew after I saw you IRL for the first time back in June ’11 for the Glee concert. Even though I had practically nosebleed seats, I could tell you looked all spiffy in your Warbler uniform. And hearing your voice live wasn’t too shabby either.
Months later, on November 26, it finally happened. The most PERF Thanksgiving gift of all time – our eyes actually met, we exchanged words and even took our first wedding picture at the Team StarKid concert at Irving Plaza. (P.S. I was next to your mama during the show, and I think she would appreciate the fact that I’m also a partial Asian. Just sayin’.) Then the following day, you surprised me. I was only supposed to interview the other guys, like Lauren Lopez and Joey Richter, but you came out from behind that curtain where we all sat, and glanced at me one last time before you had to go on stage. Sigh.
Before long, you came to NYC — yet again! — for your stint in How to Succeed. It’s kinda like you’re playing with my emotions, constantly being in my hometown and all, but I still went out to see you (with my [current] boyfriend) in a crowded theater full of pink sunglasses and Gryffindor scarves. #dedication
If you don’t see how we’re meant to be by now, then that’s pretty disappointing. HOWEVER, I am willing to overlook that… so long as you kiss me on our next date. K? K.
