Katy Perry and James Franco Cover Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” Who Did A Better Job?

We just have to ask you guys: What is the obsession with this song?? (Not that we’re not fans ourselves…) First Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Carlos Pena, Ashley Tisdale, etc. covered Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe.” Now, Katy Perry and James Franco have joined the party as well.

In Katy’s rendition, she’s spotted poolside during the weekend of Coachella – notice the same outfit? — with a bunch of friends, and it’s, uhh… kinda chaotic. People jumping over furniture, rubber animals and really bad lip-syncing. But it’s all in good fun, so who cares?!

Meanwhile, James’ version was pretty much the exact opposite. It’s inside a car with just two people and it’s very calm, but we still appreciated it. Watch both, then tell us whose was better!

Who did a better job lip-syncing to Carly Rae’s hit? Do you have a video of you dubbing the song, too? And who should be the next celeb to take on the tune?
