This week, we devote our Playlist of the Week to all the songs we love by artists we haven’t really heard from since they came out with their first single. This may be for the best for some (cough Rebecca Black cough), but for the rest, we want more than just one hit!
1. Willow Smith, “Whip My Hair”
Okay, so she also had “21st Century Girl”, but this is Willow’s only song that really took off. And by “took off”, we mean… everyone we know went crazy whipping their hair around every time it came on.
2. Carly Rae Jepsen, “Call Me, Maybe”
We’re really hoping this doesn’t turn out to be Carly Rae’s only hit, because it’s pretty much the catchiest song we’ve ever heard. But will Carly’s second single be as good as this one? Probs not. You heard it here first.
3. Neon Trees, “Animal”
This song is pure amazingness. Even though we sorta like Darren Criss‘ version better, we’d love to hear more stuff like this from Neon Trees!
4. Rebecca Black, “Friday”
We’ve gone from absolutely hating this song to not-so-secretly loving it. It’s… just so darn quotable!
5. Cali Swag District, “Teach Me How to Dougie”
Admit it, you’ve totally tried to figure out how to Dougie. We still can’t get it right… but that doesn’t stop us from trying every time we hear this song!
6. Kris Allen, “Live Like We’re Dying”
This song is so inspirational and awesome that it reminds us why we voted for Kris to win American Idol… even if he hasn’t put out much music since.7. La Roux, “Bulletproof”
Super weird music video, but this is totally the kind of song that you have to roll down your car windows and sing along to at the top of your lungs when it comes on the radio!
8. The Ting Tings, “That’s Not My Name”
What is this song even about?! The lyrics don’t make much sense, but it’s still ridiculously catchy. And also a one-hit wonder. Bummer.
9. Corbin Bleu, “Push it To The Limit”
Corbin’s been lighting up the Broadway stage, but we wish he’d put out more music like this! We were so hooked on this song a few years ago.
10. Cee Lo Green, “Forget You”
We know Cee Lo’s been busy with The Voice, but we can’t think of any song that he’s had on the radio since this one! What gives, dude?!

Neon Trees has another hit currently, as others have said, called “Everybody Talks”.
The Ting Tings had another hit song before “That’s Not My Name” that was pretty popular called “Shut Up And Let Me Go”.
Cee Lo Green is debatable, because he use to be a part of Gnarls Barkley, a hit band, that had several popular hits, Crazy being the most popular. It is true he hasn’t done much else solo other than “[Forget] You”.
Okay, Neon Trees is not a one-hit-wonder. They have some really great songs, and Everybody Talks is popular. There is also one of my personal favorites Helpless as well. Neon Trees ROCKS
