Austin & Ally fans can rest easy tonight because Ross Lynch just got… a recording contract. That’s right, he and the rest of his band, R5, just signed a deal with Hollywood Records, which is the house to other reknowned artists such as Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, and Nick Jonas.
According to ClevverTV, Disney EVP Ken Bunt says:
“[Hollywood Records is] thrilled about R5’s potential. They can write clever songs, sing, play multiple instruments, and act.”
The band, which consists of Ross, his three siblings, Riker (a Glee Warbler!), Rocky and Rydel, and their friend Ratliff (real name Ellington), are currently recording their debut EP. However, R5 fans will have a long wait ahead of them — it’s not set to release until early 2013.
But if you’re lucky, you can catch R5 as early as next week as the group embarks on their tour of the West Coast. Here are the details:

May 4 – Bakersfield, CA – The Underground
May 5 – Santa Ana, CA – Yost Theater
May 6 – Phoenix, AZ – Crescent Ballroom

I love R5 and like them but in my favs in order would be Ross rocky Rydel riker Ratliff and ryland and on a scale 1-10(4 the guys) for hotness Ross would be an 12 and rocky would be a 9 riker would be 6 Ratliff would be a 3 ryland would be a1 Rydel on friend scale 1-10 would be … a…10! Definetly and I’m really happy and excited for them
I love R5. Ross, Riker and Rydel are my favourites. R5 are Awesome

I have loved R5 before Austin and Ally! They are an amazing family! I can not pick which would be my favorite(:
