Before the 2012 MTV Movie Awards hype truly begins, the categories/nominees must be be announced first… Fortunately, the day has finally come for the official list to be released. As expected, record-breakers like The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 and The Hunger Games all made the cut, as well as a great amount of nominations for 21 Jump Street (six total) and Bridesmaids (eight total).
And Best Kiss (which usually goes to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) isn’t the only category to look forward to this year. In addition to the usual, Best Music, Best On-Screen Transformation, Best Gut-Wrenching Performance, Best Cast and Best On-Screen Dirtbag were also added to the 2012 lineup.

I really hope harry potter wins some because theatricly its the best film out of the twilight and hunger games series the only reason they would win is because teens are crazy about love trianges and over hype every movie even if they arent that good harry potter had years of tecnicality put into it and is a legendary saga but of course because of teens who dont appreciate artwork and want the vampire vs wolf to win or peeta vs gale to win just because its hyped up it kinda sux
AMENN! i hope harry potte wiins some i mean al the fans want it to win cuz its over and all that and maybe next year it wont be in the nominees cuz its over:( sooo we just want it to win for the last time and the hg and twilight will be nomenated nexxt year and maybe the year after that

HUNGER GAMES FOREVER!!!!!!!1
Movie of the Year: I would pick The Help or The Hunger Games. I am really confident neither of them will win, but I just watched TH for the first time and it was one of the only movies to ever make me cry, and as for THG I am extremely and 100% obsessed with it.
Best Male Performance This one is tough, but I have to say Josh. He chanelled Peeta so well when I was positive no one could.
Best Female Performance
Wow. Jennifer for sure. But Kristen and Emma in a close tied second.
Best Comedic Performance
Melissa
Breakthrough Performance
Elle. I think this movie proved she’s not just Dakato Fanning’s little sister.
Best Cast
The Help (Viola and Octavia made me cry!!), THG (Josh, Jen, Liam, Alex, Isabelle, Amandla, Dayo, Leven, Jack, Jackie, Lenny, Woody, Elizabeth, Donald, Willow….need I go on?), or bridesmaids
Best On-Screen Transformation
Elizabeth (3 hrs in hair and makeup) or Michelle
Best Fight
Daniele vs. Ralph or Jen and Josh vs. Alex (I favor the latter)
Best Kiss
How dare you even ask this question. Jen and Josh.
Best Gut-Wrenching Performance
Either the Bridesmaids or Bryce
Best On-Screen Dirt Bag
I laughed hysterically when she ate the poop…
Bryce for sure
Best Music
Impossible
