The coolest thing about working at Teen.com? Okay, there are tons, but one of the best is definitely getting to go on movie set visits. Not only do we get to meet and hang out with some gorg celebrities, but we also get exclusive details on the movie months before it comes out!
I got to hang out on the set of Step Up Revolution, and not to make you guys really jeal, but it was totally awesome. The movie stars some serious hotties, like Ryan Guzman, Stephen Boss and Misha Gabriel. I chilled with all of those guys plus the super sweet female lead, Kathryn McCormick, in sunny Miami, Florida, with a whole bunch of editors from other websites. No biggie.
And because I can’t keep all that overload of info to myself, I’m going to spill all the exclusive deets right here before the movie comes out on July 27. Read on for my play-by-play!
Part One: Watching The Cast Film a Scene!
When we (as in myself and the other reporters) first arrived on the set, it was hot. Like, ridiculously 100-degrees hot. As in, we were all sweating through our clothes within five minutes. But it didn’t even matter, because all around us, so much awesome stuff was going on. One whole street was blocked off from the public and filled with old cars that would make any dude flip out. And the whole cast was there too, standing on top of them.
Just as we were wondering what the heck was going to happen, they turned on the music, shouted ‘Action’, and everyone started dancing on top of the cars! It was pretty crazy, because we were literally only a few feet away from them. And these guys are amazing dancers. They were dancing fully clothed in 100-degree weather and they still managed to look incredible. We watched them film the scene over and over a bunch of times, but it never got boring. There was so much going on!
