Demi Lovato‘s killer curves and flowy hair aren’t the only items to look forward to in the July 2012 issue of Cosmopolitan. The new judge of The X Factor completely opens up about her recent diagnosis of bipolar disorder:
“I felt relieved when I found out. Like I’m not completely crazy; there’s a medical reason for all of it. It’s a daily thing; you don’t get time off from it. And if I feel myself slipping back into old patterns, I have to ask others for help, which is hard for me to learn, because I really like doing everything on my own.”
She also confesses that as far as her personal life goes, she wants to “be married with kids in 10 years.”
Along the same track, she dishes on her dating qualifications as well:
“I don’t have many deal breakers. I’ve done so much in my life, it doesn’t feel right to judge other people. Oh, I know one quality I won’t tolerate. I would never be with a guy who is controlling.”
The one thing that is controversial about Demi’s interview is, once again, the age debacle. Dakota Fanning covered Cosmo in February 2012 and Selena Gomez covered in March. And with words like “sex” and “erotica” surrounding them, is it appropriate for a teenager to grace the magazine with such a strong tween/teen fanbase? Hmm…
For more of Demi’s interview, pick up the July 2012 issue of Cosmo, on newsstands starting June 5. Do you think she’s an appropriate cover girl? How young is too young for this type of magazine? And what do you think of Demi’s startling confessions?
