When we last saw Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen, they had just welcomed their creepy half vampire, half human baby in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, and this brand new family portrait released by Entertainment Weekly gives Twihards a first look at Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) darling daughter Renesmee.
The newest member of the Cullen clan is played by up-and-coming 11-year-old actress Mackenzie Foy. Mackenzie has guest-starred on a few TV shows before, but Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is her first major role – a role which virtually guarentees that her career is about to completely skyrocket. Since finishing Breaking Dawn, she’s already finished two movies, both of which are still in the post-production stages: Plastic Jesus and The Warren Files, a horror flick which also stars Joey King.
In Breaking Dawn – Part 2, we’ll see Bella, who is now a vampire, Edward, Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and the rest of the Cullens form a team of vampires from around the world to try to protect Renesmee from the Volturi.
The Twilight cast and crew had been working together for years before Mackenzie joined Team Cullen, so the cast had to adjust to having a little girl on set. Rob told Entertainment Weekly, “[The rest of the cast is] all around the same age and we’re really not polite to each other anymore… You’d have to tone it down when Mackenzie was around… She had a little swear jar, and I think she made 850 bucks or something.”
