Even before reading, you should already know that all celebrities involved in the incident we’re about to tell you about are safe and out of harm’s way. After all, most of this news is coming directly from the stars themselves. But regardless, here’s what you need to know… Early this morning, 300 guests were forced to evacuate the Corinthia Hotel in Whitehall Place, London after one of the service elevator motors burnt out. Among those guests, included Rihanna and Jane by Design‘s Erica Dasher and Rowly Dennis.
Rihanna was still in town after headlining Radio One’s Hackney Weekend on June 24. The first distress signal she sent to her fans came around 9am London time (3am EST). She said, “Roamin da streets since 6am! Fyah in da telly #evacuationlife”. Then, she proceeded to Instagram the following picture:
That was the first and last piece of information Rihanna let out about the subject. Erica, on the other hand, has been quick to let all her fans know nearly every hour on Twitter that she and her co-star, Rowly Dennis, are doing alright after the incident. In fact, she even publicly reached out to Rihanna through the social networking site, asking for her to join her and her Rowly for “afternoon tea in the courtyard.” (Rihanna has yet to respond.)
To prove even further that the JBD stars are safe, she says, ”Hotel completely evacuated at 6am. @RowlyDennis acts as hero.” And then published the following photo:
And soon after, this one as well:
The London Fire Brigade formally announced that no one else was injured in the flames. What do you think of the incident? Do you think Rihanna should’ve told her fans more about it?

So glad everyone is safe! I absolutely LOVE Erica and Rowly and I am really glad Erica kept her fans posted about what happened and how it was going. (The pics were adorable, too! ^_^) But yeah, Rihanna is Rihanna and she’ll do whatever she wants. Cryptic tweets about hotel fires? Nbd. Just her style. (I miss her old days
