So click on to get to know Claudia — plus deets on her new single, “3 Leaf Clover,” below!
Tell us about “3 Leaf Clover”!
Claudia: I love it because it is so different from most country songs. I’s message really spoke to me because it states that being unique and different is much more interesting than being average. Finding a 4-leaf clover is very rare, it is really kind of magical in a way. That same sort of magic explains the song’s message for owning who you are and believing in yourself. Also, I must admit I really love the insane beat of the song!
Love that! Describe the song in three words.
C: Unique, fun, crazy!
What’s been the most defining moment of your childhood?
C: Definitely when I sat my parents down and told them that I wanted to pursue my dreams of becoming an entertainer. It was quite funny because I cornered them in a sense. My whole life my parents always told me that they would support me if I was passionate about something, and that time came in my life when I was 13. My parents and I drove out to California all the way from West Lafayette Indiana to start this awesome journey. They actually thought we would only stay for 3 months and that did not happen!
Amazing! What would you do if you weren’t making music?
C: I always joke around with my parents and say that if Hollywood doesn’t work out I’ll go to Broadway! I know if I wasn’t making music and acting, I would be involved in the performing arts world in some way. I would be either writing and making music for other artists or producing movies.
What hidden talent do you have besides music?
C: I went to school in Poland during the summer when I was eight years old. I continued to go to Poland for 5 years in order to learn to speak Polish. Also, I love to downhill ski, and when I was six, I did Nastar Downhill Skiing competition. I was so fast that the Pacesetter for the event came to my parents and asked that I be placed on the circuit. Ironically, it was in Michigan and we would ski about twice a year.
Wow, so you are multi-talented! What was your first concert?
C: A Celine Dion concert in Krakow, Poland. It was an amazing performance and I loved her.
Which artist would you like to cover one of your songs?
C: Faith Hill or Gwen Stefani.
Which artist would you like to collab with?
C: I would love to collaborate with Faith Hill or The Band Perry. I also love Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran and Gwen Stefani. I could go on. I have an extensive list of beloved artists!
What’s your go-to Karaoke song?
C: Guns N’ Roses “Sweet Child O’ Mine”. Trivia time, did you know that Axel Rose and Izzy Stradlin are from my hometown of Lafayette, Indiana? Also, I LOVE “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen!
Us too, Claudia! Do you have a celebrity crush?
C: Nathan Sykes [from The Wanted]!
You take your pets on the road with you! Tell us about them.
C: I have two very adorable dogs; a toy poodle named Cocoa and a bichon frise named Genieve. They always travel with me and they are the best therapy because they remind me of home.
Favorite TV show? Ready, go!
C: It’s a tie between Castle and Awkward. Two very different TV shows, but Castle is something that my mom and I watch together. We are Castle junkies. So it’s fun to hang with her and watch that show. I like Awkward because of the storyline and the drama that it is woven into every episode. It’s so believable!
