Whether she’s whipping her hair back and forth, changing her hair from one neon color to the next or tricking the world into thinking she, at just 11 years old, pierced her tongue, Willow Smith has shown us her fun, funky side since day one. Pretty crazy, but also kind of predictable by now.
But here’s something that no one expected from the youngest Smith kid; her latest single is a ballad! Willow just released the video for “I Am Me,” a stripped- down song about staying true to yourself. In the chorus, she sings, “I’m me, I’m me and that’s all I can be/ I’m me, I’m me/ It’s my one ability/ I’m free and you can’t stop me/ I’m free, and that’s all I can be.”
Willow left the crazy choreography and costumes out of the video, instead going for simple jeans, a baggy polka-dotted yellow button up shirt and a black bowler hat. She skateboards around New York City, keeping it pretty simple. Check it out below.
And non-coincidentally, big brother Jaden Smith recently released a video for his song “Gonzoes,” in which he kind of takes a dig at his little sis. He raps, “Now Willow is the star, man, how weak is that?/ Pink hair, high socks, can’t compete with that.” Harsh, Jaden. Could Jaden be jealous of all the success and attention Willow’s been getting lately? Hopefully it’s just a bit of fun sibling rivalry:
What do you think of Willow’s and Jaden’s new videos? Do you think there’s a rivalry between the brother and sister?

If ppl aren’t singing about themselves they’re signing about relationships..sigh..keep trying kids one day you will put out a message that isn’t already there
