Move over Jelena, helllllo Selfredo? Yesterday, Selena Gomez was spotted at pal Ashley Tisdale‘s 27th birthday bash on a beach in California without her BF Justin Bieber, who was apparently not feeling well. Sel joined the Tiz, her BF Scott, Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler for a day of sun, friends and fun — totally innocent, right? Well, we all know that in the land of Selenators and Beliebers, drama is a natural occurrence. When fans got sight of pics of Selena and a friend of the couple, Alfredo Flores, looking rather flirty on the beach, they did what most of us do these days when something shocking happens — post their feelings on Twitter.
A few tweets back and forth between fans soon became a full on battle. Some are team Sel; she clearly wasn’t doing anything wrong. Her and Alfredo are just good friends. Some, however, are team Biebs; how could Selena leave her sick BF and then go run around in the waves with his best friend? Not cool.
Selena was swept off her feet — literally — by Fredo, further adding fuel to the fire. It looks like the two are having a great time (although we wouldn’t be laughing if someone was about to throw us fully clothed into the ocean), but we can def see how these pics can spark rumors about potential trouble in Jelena paradise. Does this mean that the matching tattoo idea is off? Thank gawwww.
