All of you Lovatics out there were super excited when we told you that Demi Lovato will be hosting this year’s Teen Choice Awards, and now Gleeks are about to join in on the good news, because it was just announced that Kevin McHale will co-host the TCAs, too. The Kevi duo will take on a role previously filled by The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Hilary Duff, and clearly have some big shoes to fill. Even though millions will be watching, Kevin explained his excitement about landing the hosting gig:
“Demi and I have been friends for years, and I’d like to thank her for letting me in on the fun co-hosting Teen Choice 2012. It’s exciting to finally be working together professionally and I’d like to welcome her to the FOX family. This is going to be a great show.”
Unlike Demi, Kevin is a seasoned pro when it comes to TCA-hosting. Back in 2010, he joined his fellow Glee castmates Cory Monteith, Mark Salling and Chris Colfer to help Katy Perry host the show. Although hosting the show is super exciting and all, Kevin can also look forward to potentially taking home a coveted surfboard, because Glee is nominated for Choice TV Show: Comedy for the third year in a row! The TCAs are fan-voted, so if you want to see Kevin take home the award, you can cast your vote on the official Teen Choice Awards website until the show airs on Fox on July 22 at 8pm EST!

Ok, yes Demi went through a lot of crap. But so do a bunch of other girls. And they don’t get as much recognition for it as she did. She DID IT TO HERSELF. She got better. Leave it at that. I honestly don’t think she’s gonna be that good of a host. I’m glad they brought Kevin in, because he is hysterical. Now, I don’t hate Demi. I just hate how her fans are all like “She went through soooooooo much, and no other person on the planet is worthy of her, NO ONE.” Love her for her career not her mistakes. And don’t demean other people, either.
At least he’ll alleviate some of the torture that is Demi Lovato…
Well, Demi is inspirational. She’s been through so much, battled and struggled – yet you have no sympathy for her. She’s saved millions of lives, helped many, given back and you call her a torture? She was bullied. She’s not a diva, she’s a role model and my idol. She’s out there whilst you’re sitting behind your computer, a jealous guy/girl. She has an amazing voice, a great actress and can dance cray cray. #NoHate
