If he’s not getting pulled over for reckless driving, suffering a concussion or fighting with the paparazzi, you can still guarantee that Justin Bieber will make headlines one way or another. Unfortunately, this bout may cost him more than the amount of all those incidents combined.
On July 14, 2010, a fan was escorted to a JB concert in Portland, Oregon by her mother, Stacey Wilson Betts. The girl, an early-on, original Belieber (considering it was two years ago), enjoyed Justin’s tunes for the duration of his performance. Stacey, however, claims that she left the concert with damage to her ears. Permanent damage to her ears.
According to Perez Hilton, the mother says that during one part of the show specifically, Justin pointed at various parts of the audience, and “enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick upward motion.” The publication continues to mention that she believes the gondola in which Justin was seated acted as a ‘sound conductor’ that caused her loss of hearing.
Now, over 700 days later, she’s filed a suit against the Biebs, his record label, the concert promoter and the arena because “experienced promoters, sound engineers, managers and artists” are responsible for safe sound maintenence. Oh, and the grand total of her troubles: $9.23 million(!) for expenses, pain and suffering, loss of quality of life, severe tinnitus (a ringing in the ears), hyperacusis (sensitivity to sound), permanent disability and impairment to both of her ears.
So far, there’s been no word from Bieber’s camp on how they plan on addressing the situation. Whose side are you on in this case? Do you think Justin’s responsible? Or should Stacey have taken her own precautions (like earplugs)?

thats so stupid! i mean reallyu shouldnt of gone! there are thousands of screamin girls she was probly screamin too i mean come on its er fault she went that was sooo dumb!!!
thats not even his fault it was her own decision to let her go to the concert. I mean its a concert, there are thousands of SCREAMING GIRLS there, you let her go, and it wasnt justins fault…
okay all i gottta say tht fans scream and if u cant handle tht then u shouldnt be going to them get someone else to go with ur daughter lady lk u suing him just because he got money lk cmon ur ears probably had something wrong with them from the begging lk STOP IT stop trying to get some money thts what all this is about
No more 99 weeks after 2011? That’s a big effin’ caveat. Surprised Sam did not make a bigegr deal out of it.Well I found two big jars of apple SAUCE for 99 cents each on the bargain table at Food Lion, coincidentally.
Soooooooo Stuipd it’s not his fault that his fans are in love with him!!!!!!!!!!!!
i do not think he should get sued for something he did not do.
well they shouldn’t have went to the concert. Its a concert of course its going to be loud what do you think . you think Justin isn’t going to be loud he has to sing over millions of fans. Duuhh ! so they should have stayed home and listened to him over the radio.
I find this absolutely ridiculous. Number one, it’s 2 years later. I’m almost positive it wouldn’t take that long for you to realize you’re having hearing problems. Number two, it’s a concert. Justin performs at sold out arenas worldwide. He has a large teenage girl fan base. And you’re trying to blame him, his record label, the concert promoter, and the arena because it was your idea to buy and attend a concert. There’s at least 15,000 people per concert. This lawsuit is irrelevant. But, I am sorry that she lost her hearing. It’s just you can’t blame someone else for your own decisions.
i got jb tikcets for the us at tikcet for next year and they are backstage ones i cant wait but i dont think im going so if i put them on ebay u should look em up
