Are we wrong to say that it seems like celebs’ hair is just getting more and more cray by the second? First, the pink hair trend took over with Willow Smith and Nicki Minaj, then purple became the newest craze rocked by Katy Perry and Selena Gomez. Although most of these stars could pull off the crazy colors (well, better than we could anyway), the latest hair-trend circulating among Hollywood is kindaaa confusing. Demi Lovato, P!nk and Amy from Karmin have all gathered their bobby pins and hairspray cans to rock the newest way to stand out — the suicide roll.
Amy, who is notorious for having super-awesome retro-inspired hair, was the first of these ladies to own the ‘do (and she even coined the term!), way back when she was still only a Youtube star. The good ol’ days. She even posted a video on how to achieve her signature look as per fans’ request. Ya like?
When Demi decided to test out the style at X Factor auditions in North Carolina last week, the crazy rocker locks caused quite a stir. Some people loved it, some hated it. It’s def extreme, but it’s pretty cool that Dem is willing to take fashion risks.
P!nk’s been known for doing crazy things since, like, forever ago, so it’s not really shocking that she was quick to jump on the suicide roll train as soon as she could. She combines the pink-hair (no pun intended) look and the special twist to make herself really stand out. We kinda love.
