After being extremely vague about the possibility of a Harry Potter parody threequel, it’s actually happening. Team StarKid (AKA the YouTube phenoms that brought you A Very Potter Musical in 2009 and introduced the world to Darren Criss) plans to debut the highly-anticipated third — and final – installation to their original HP spoof.
The troupe, consisting of Darren, Joey Richter, Jaime Lyn Beatty, Lauren Lopez, Joe Walker, Brian Rosenthal, Dylan Saunders, Meredith Stepien and many more, will perform A Very Potter 3D: A Very Potter Senior Year (or AVP3D:APVSY for short) for the first time publicly at LeakyCon (a Harry Potter fan conference) in Chicago on August 11, 2012.
StarKid Brian Holden confirmed the news, saying: “At LeakyCon, we’ll celebrate three years of being included in this spectacular fandom by presenting one of the most requested and most rumored about projects amongst our fans.”
The conference’s organizer, Melissa Anelli, exclaims, “We couldn’t be happier to welcome back Team StarKid to LeakyCon. They have become a substantial and exciting part of the Harry Potter fandom and we could not imagine organizing an event without them.”
This will be the second year in a row that the team returns after more than 2,000 fans celebrated at the 2011 A Very StarKid Event. Though, that probably also had to do with the ending of the actual Harry Potter franchise (it’s actually been a full year since Deathly Hallows: Part 2!) around this time last summer.

Oh my goodness, YES! Love me some Team StarKid.
I never really liked Harry Potter. I prefer the Fashion Fantasy Game because it actually teaches strategy. That, and I intend to be a fashion designer, so I like the game. Especially since it’s free too.
You do know Harry Potter isn’t just a game right?
I was just about to say that.
