It’s official. There’s no time to rest if you’re an on-the-rise pop superstar. Carly Rae Jepsen is currenly preparing for another great performance at Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards as well as a stint on 90210, and to add to the list of performances, it was just announced that she will be headlining this year’s Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day on August 25 in Flushing, NY. The event, which kicks off the 2012 US Open, is a day-long event of activities, games and of course, music.

So, as if Carly Rae’s attendance isn’t amazing enough, you can look forward to even more musical fabulosity – both Owl City and The Wanted are also slated to perform annnnd Jordin Sparks will be co-hosting! Are you overwhelmed yet? Cause we are juuuust a little bit. So. Many. Celebs!

Even though the event is totally fun every year, it’d be totally normal for Carly Rae to be slightly nervous — she has some pretty big shoes to fill! Rihanna, The Jonas Brothers and Justin Bieber have all already tested their Arthur Ashe-headlining chops over the past few years. And to top it off, last year’s event was cancelled due to Hurricane Irene (uhhh, rude), so both die-hard tennis fans and music fans are feeling slightly deprived. Ok, so maybe she isn’t as seasoned as The Biebs, but we’re pretty sure CRJ can totes hold her own. Look how excited she is!

If you are in the New York area and want to attend the Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day, tickets are available now! What do you think of this year’s headliners? Who was your all-time fave AAKD performer?
