Selena Gomez may not be new to Teen Vogue — covering the magazine in both 2009 and 2011 — yet there’s still all these things about her that we’re just learning about for the first time in her September 2012 issue. After all, she’s a talented singer, a well-known fashionista, a stellar actress, has her own perfume line, plus that boyfriend of hers isn’t too shabby either. And though there is a lot to say about her spread (like the amount of Photoshop that was used), these were the best quotes:
When speaking about moving from teen to more mature roles, she says “Monte Carlo was a good step for me at the time, but I would never want to do something like that again.” She continues, ”Being part of the Disney Channel was such a blessing, and I’m super happy with what my show accomplished, but acting is something I would like to take on more seriously. I don’t necessarily feel accomplished. I want to create a whole different persona when it comes to acting.”
As for her dream musical collaboration, she admits that Justin is her dream duet — but not that Justin: “Who I would die to work with, but I don’t think he ever would — I don’t even think he’s doing music anymore — is Justin Timberlake. Just ’cause I love his music sooo much.”
As for her relationship with the one and only Justin Bieber, Sel gives away the bare minimum: “It’s really fun. I’m lucky. I’m 20. I don’t take anything in my personal life too seriously. I have great friends and a solid group of people I love. I feel like everything else will come organically.”
