You might not realize it, but a lot of the greatest actors you see today have starred in not-so-big-budget films. Take cuties Ellen Page and Michael Cera for example. Juno was pretty low budget and cost only $7.5 million to make. (For reference, something bigger like The Dark Knight cost $250 million!) But since Juno garnered far more attention than that of the usual independent movie, here are the hottest stars from lesser-known indie flicks:
Emma Roberts in Celeste and Jesse Forever
We don’t exactly know Em’s part in this movie — debuting this weekend! — considering she’s not playing Celeste. Or Jesse. But still, we can’t wait to see her in it.
Anton Yelchin in Like Crazy
Make sure to purchase a box of tissues before watching Anton & his on-screen love, Felicity Jones. Their love story is beyond words.
Penn Badgley in Margin Call
A hot guy in a hot ride? Count us in!
Kristen Stewart in Welcome to the Rileys
Even with the globs of eyeliner KStew had to sport throughout this flick,
Tristan Wilds in The Secret Life of Bees
We never would’ve guessed that the guy with the small role opposite Dakota Fanning and Jennifer Hudson would turn into a 90210 stud. But we’re glad he did.
Shiloh Fernandez in Skateland
Before he caused havoc in Red Riding Hood, he blew us away with this performance. Now if only he’d do more mainstream flicks like RRH… We can’t get enough of Shiloh!
Jim Sturgess in One Day
He’s shirtless. He’s British. That is all.
Jesse Eisenberg in Holy Rollers
Mark Zuckerberg’s got nothing on Jesse’s character in this dramatic film about a drug bust. He’s so awkward yet so undeniably cute.
Andrew Garfield in Never Let Me Go
Just as the title suggests, you’d never wanna let Andrew go after seeing this one.
*BONUS* Justin Timberlake in Alpha Dog
Hey, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show off JT all tatted up and bad-ass.
