Just a few slots left in the casting for Catching Fire — including Finnick Odair (come on, Sam Claflin), Beetee and Brutus — but at least you can check off another big character from the list: beautiful actress Meta Golding is confirmed to play Enobaria.
Unlike Jena Malone’s and Lynn Cohen’s characters, Meta’s is from District 2, the most loyal of the districts to the Capitol. So loyal that after Enobaria went through training, she actually volunteered to participate in the 62nd Hunger Games when she was 17. And it wasn’t even to protect her sister (a la Katniss). Also unlike the others, her physical description is… slightly different. After winning her Games by ripping out another tribute’s throat — with her teeth! — Enobaria “had her teeth cosmetically altered to end in sharp points, like fangs, and tipped with gold so they would be a formidable weapon as well as virtually indestructible.” (No wonder one of our writers pictured Lady Gaga, eh?)
Besides the previously-mentioned roles, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amanda Plummer also managed to snag parts in the sequel to The Hunger Games as Plutarch Heavensbee and Wiress, respectively.
But in other THG news, star Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly making bank with the next addition to the franchise. Since the first one grossed $683.8 million(!) worldwide and Jennifer pocketed only $500,000, she’s now in salary negotiations. And according to The Hollywood Reporter, she’s set to rake in a whopping $10 million this time around. Both Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are also discussing their payment contracts, but will probably only receive a fraction of Jenn’s earnings. Seems fair though, no?
