Now that Taylor Swift’s relationship with her new guy, Conor Kennedy, is totally out in the open, T and C obviously have no problem showing the world just how into each other they really are. In fact, they spent this past weekend together in Massachusetts, showing some serious PDA in front of the cameras; holding hands, kissing, Conor with his hands dangerously close to Taylor’s butt… You know, the works — with all the romantic, happy fun we always wished Swifty could have.
Or maybe it wasn’t so happy after all. Reports are now saying that Taylor and Conor crashed his cousin Kyle Kennedy’s wedding in Boston. In an interview with the Boston Herald, Victoria Gifford Kennedy, the mother of the bride, supposedly says, “[Swift and Conor] texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come. I responded with a very clear ‘Please do not come.’ They came anyway… I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her and asked her as nicely as I could to leave. It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me.”
However, Taylor’s publicist Paula Erikson was quick to debunk the rumors. She says, “There is no truth to that. Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there.” Hmm… interesting.
Whether or not Tay and her boyfriend are gearing up to star in a Wedding Crashers sequel, she still had a pretty big weekend. Her newest song, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which she’ll perform live for the first time at the 2012 MTV VMAs next month, had the biggest digital sales week ever for a female artist. In just five days, the song got 623,000 paid legal downloads. (Now imagine what that number would be if you added in all of the illegal downloads.) Way to go, Taylor!
