Name: Candace Grade: Senior Favorite class: History Yearbook Superlative: Most likely to be a womens’ rights activist. Quote from the book: “You’re a freak, you know that? Everyone says so. They always have.”
Yesterday we introduced you to Logan Lerman’s Perks of Being a Wallflower character, Charlie, and today, continuing on with our Wallflower Week, it’s Nina Dobrev‘s turn. Nina plays Candace, Charlie’s big sister (who goes unnamed in the book), and her character in the movie is nothing like Elena on The Vampire Diaries.
Perhaps Candace’s most defining quality is that she’s a straight-A student and super smart. She’s also quiet and reserved and, being the middle child between two brothers, keeps to herself. She’s also dating a guy from her high school (played by Nicholas Braun) who turns out to be not-so-good for her, but more details on that are in the movie. We’re excited to see Nina in this role mostly because it’s so different from all the other stuff we’ve seen her in. And she nails it, of course.
Be sure to check out more pics of Nina as Candace in the gallery below, and come back every day this week for more details on the rest of the Perks cast!
