Though the One Direction guys should still be jumping for joy over their big wins at the 2012 MTV VMAs — three moonmen for 1D! — it looks like that will be impossible for one of the members. Ya know, because jumping’s probably a bad idea for someone with a foot injury.
Over the weekend, Zayn Malik was spotted at the airport in London — on crutches! Many fans were quick to raise concerns on Twitter, so Zayn took the time to address his worried Directioners using the same forum. He says in a non-detailed tweet:

Although this doesn’t exactly explain what went down to cause this catastrophe – OK, it’s supposedly just a sprain, but still — most speculate that it occurred while skateboarding at Justin Bieber‘s house during their post-VMAs hangout session. I think zayn does celebrate cthsirmas with his mum’s side of the family, also cos he’s in the one direction boyband and if he didn’t celebrate it, he would be the odd one out and that would look really stupid cos there is so much cthsirmas hyp and then interviewers would go into the details of why he doesn’t celebrate it and thats too complicated, u masewell make some stuff up like yeah chill out with the fam, etc’
