Ugh, after that super sad yet amazing season 3 finale, we could hardly wait to find out what was up next for all our favorite gleeks! So where did we leave off? We watched Finn send Rachel off to New York by herself, saw Kurt’s dream of Broadway crushed when he didn’t get into NYADA, and were left wondering where everyone would end up next year. Well, we are one day away from Thursday’s premiere and we have been obsessing over the new (and returning) guest stars we get to see this season! Such as…
One of our favorite movie stars is coming to the silver screen! Kate will play Cassandra July, a reoccurring role as Rachel’s dance teacher at NYADA. As it turns out, Cassandra is not Rachel Berry’s biggest fan and the pair seems to have it out for each other this season! We know our girl can rise above it though. Check out the promo below to see the beginning of a great rivalry (and watch Cassandra’s mashup of Gaga and JLo right here!)
Sarah Jessica Parker
We are so excited to see SJP back on TV and playing the role of Isabelle Klempt, a mentor to Kurt in New York City. It has been officially announced that Kurt is heading to the big apple for an internship with the leading fashion magazine, Vogue! We couldn’t imagine a more PERFECT place for him to go. Hopefully their relationship is a little less intense than the one in The Devil Wears Prada, but it is Vogue, so we wouldn’t be surprised!
We are so freaking stoked that Alex Newell will be back in our lives playing Wade Adams. The previews for the show definitely hinted that Wade will be joining the New Directions team. Even though we are so bummed Kurt and Mercedes graduated, we think that Wade AKA Unique is going to totally own the show. Remember his performance of “Starships” and “Pinball Wizard” in the season 3 finale?! PS: Read even more about Alex Newell right here!
FOX confirmed that we will be seeing more of Carmen Tibideaux in the new season. If you remember back to last season, Whoopi played the NYADA dean who gave Rachel a second chance when she appeared at nationals. We definitely hope that Whoopi becomes somewhat of a mentor for Rachel and not out to get her like Cassandra is!
