After a much-talked about search, where celebrity names ranging from Kelly Osbourne to Stacy Keibler to Kevin McHale were dropped, the hunt for the new male and female co-hosts of The X Factor is finally over. As announced by The X Factor‘s official Twitter:
It’s officially official! @khloekardashian & @mariolopezextra are our Xciting new #xfactor hosts! #WelcomeKhloeAndMario
— THE X FACTOR (USA) (@TheXFactorUSA) October 16, 2012
The two aforementioned stars (who have been rumored to fill the jobs for some time) soon echoed TXF‘s statement:
Alright guys, it’s official… I’ll be hosting @thexfactorusa ! Looking forward to working with @simoncowell and the rest of the amazing team
— Mario Lopez (@MarioLopezExtra) October 16, 2012
The rumors are true… I will be hosting @thexfactorusa this season!!! bit.ly/RzxKxD SO excited!

Simon Cowell says of the new additions, “The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out. Mario and Khloe are our hosts. They will debut on our first live show in November and I couldn’t be happier.”
Although Khloe doesn’t have true hosting experience under her belt, she does know a thing or two about famous achievements after starring on multiple successful E! reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney & Kim Take Miami and, of course, Khloe & Lamar. As for her male X Factor counterpart, Mario’s no stranger to this kind of gig, hosting shows such as America’s Best Dance Crew, Live with Kelly, Extra and more.
What are your thoughts on the pairing? Do you think Khloe and Mario will be good hosts? Tell us what you think, and see them in action on Thursday, November 1 on FOX.
