Have you been missing the Russo family ever since Wizards of Waverly Place went off the air earlier this year? Well, get excited because the whole gang is back for a brand-new TV event! It was announced last month that Selena Gomez and her bewitching co-stars would return for another go ’round, and now we’re getting a first look at the special, after David Deluise tweeted this behind the scenes pic.
David, who plays patriarch Jerry on the show, shared this photo with the caption, “Can anyone say WIZARDS.” He wasn’t the only one getting in the wizardly spirit, after Selena sent out this photo on Facebook, saying “We’re back”:
The hour-long special will have the family traveling to Italy to visit family, but Alex (Selena) accidentally casts a spell that makes a good Alex and an evil Alex (hence the “Alex vs. Alex” title). Oops! You won’t have to wait long to see all the wizard hi jinks, the new special is set to air sometime in early 2013.
