Thankfully, it appears Hostess will stay in business after all. Still, we can’t help but think back to a few days ago, when people were stockpiling Twinkies like there was no tomorrow. The despair we felt was not for the Twinkie though — it was that we would need to say goodbye to coconut and marshmallow covered chocolate cake with creamy filling otherwise known as the SnoBall.
Seriously why are people outraged over the Twinkie? Have they ever tasted a SnoBall? It’s superior in every imaginable way! Not only do you get cream-filled sponge cake, but it’s chocolate cake. Then throw in marshmallow. And toasted coconut. And crazy colors!
And even though we never made it to the second SnoBall in the pack because we’d slipped into a sugary coma from the first one… we would really miss the chance to eat these once a year when we randomly spot them in a gas station during a road trip.
All we can say is that Hostess better figure it out because since it’s not April, we can’t stock up on the special edition Easter purple SnoBalls which are obviously the best.
