In the last clip we showed you of Justin Bieber‘s interview on The Ellen Show, he and Ellen DeGeneres got into the nitty-gritty details behind his Grammy nominations snub (which manager Scooter Braun was not too pleased about), meeting the Canadian Prime Minister in his overalls and his never-ending list of tattoos, like his new owl. But what we didn’t show you was the part of the interview where he reveals the details behind his upcoming acoustic album.

That changes now. The soon-to-be-titled CD will be hitting store shelves and iTunes in January 2013. So far, no tracklisting has been released, but he does mention the reason behind the BELIEVE follow-up: ”It’s something the fans really like because I started out on YouTube just playing my guitar, just singing without all the production, so I like to just put out acoustic albums. I think it’s more intimate.”

Just like his fans, JB clearly could not contain his personal excitement for the new addition, sending out an onslaught of tweets the past few days:

This isn’t the only big development we’ve heard on the Bieber front recently. At the beginning of the week, the 18-year-old announced 30 additional shows on his sold-out BELIEVE tour from June to August of 2013.

Now comes the time where you tell us your opinions on the most recent news. What songs do you hope Justin remixes for his acoustic album? “Boyfriend?” “As Long As You Love Me?” Tell us in the comments below or on our Justin Bieber message board!
