A school shooting occurred on Friday December 14 in Newtown, Connecticut where 27 have been left dead— 20 children, six adults, and the shooter. The children, who were students at Sandy Hook Elementary, were aged from from five to 10 years old, and it’s believed that the school’s principal and psychologist were among the victims.
The shooting began early Friday morning, and according to the Hartford Courant, a shooter showed up in the school’s main office around 9:41 AM, which is also when the first 911 call came in. It is believe that the shooting might have started during an administrative meeting, then spread to a kindergarten classroom, and the hallway.
Robert Licata said his six-year-old son heard the gunman burst in and shoot the teacher while he was in class, adding,”That’s when my son grabbed a bunch of his friends and ran out the door. He was very brave. He waited for his friends.”
It’s be reported that the shooter was 20-year-old Adam Lanza, who used a .223-caliber rifle to carry out the grisly act, then killed himself at the scene. There are also some reports that his mother Nancy Lanza was a teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary, who he shot and killed at the scene.

President Barack Obama spoke about the tragic situation in Newtown, and said “I know there’s not a parent in American who doesn’t feel the same overwhelming grief that I do. The majority of those who died today were children, beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. … They had their entire lives ahead of them. Birthdays, graduations, weddings, kids of their own.”
He continued, “Among the fallen were also teachers, men and women who devoted their lives to help their children achieve their dreams. Like other parents around the country. This evening, Michelle and I will … hug our children a little tighter and tell them that we love them … but there are families in Connecticut who cannot do that tonight.” He then added, “We’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this regardless of the politics.”

to all the families that are at sorrow in this world i send my prayers to you all jesus needed little helpers their safe and happy in the place thier in now families and friends will miss them but there right there with you as your new angels let them help you get stronger and let them be there to help you grief for them they never left you just left this horrible world promise they are in a happy place and safe
i heard that the killer had mental issues but that is still no excuse, such a tragic situation

I was saddened to hear this. Especially since most of those children were the same age as my little sister. I know I would be devastated if she died at such a young age. These poor defenseless children shouldn’t have died.
It’s such a sad story i almost cried when i heard what happened! Those kids we’re innocent and had their whole life in front of them and there parents must feel awful Rest In Peace

That is just so horrific, bless their little souls. The killing of a child is the worst crime anyone can ever commit, what a detestable thing to do!

20 INNOCENT CHILDREN DIED. I frist saw the news on Twitter and I haven’t been more devestated in my whole entire life when I saw 20 elementary school children died. They had their whole life in front of them and one man took it away without a second glance. I pray for those families that are broken and the parents who lost their children. R.I.P. the 26 people who died today, you will forever be in my heart.
THAT GUY WAS A BIG SON OF A B****!!!!!!!!!!! why in the world would you kill your own mother who loves you with all her heart who gave you live and 20 INNOCENT children who had done absolutely nothing?!?!?!? I cant even imagine the pain all those families feel right now my heart goes out to them and pray to god to give them all strength and support to deal with all of this and all those people may they rest in peace
This is so sad. RIP…I still can’t believe it.
And what about those MILLIONS childrens with 3 months to 5 years old who died in Palestine because of Israel ? You can believe that ?You should say : RIP TO ALL LITTLE CHILDRENS WHO DIE ALL AROUNT THE WORLD EVERYDAY!
