On Tuesday January 1, a paparazzo was killed in Los Angeles after pursuing a car he believed that Justin Bieber was driving, and now Miley Cyrus is speaking out on the accident. No stranger to being hounded by the paparazzi herself, the 20-year-old “Party in the U.S.A.” singer shared her thoughts on Twitter. The full message was sent over multiple tweets, and reads:

“Hope this paparazzi/JB accident brings on some changes in ’13 Paparazzi are dangerous! Wasn’t Princess Di enough of a wake up call?! It is unfair for anyone to put this on to Justin’s conscious as well! This was bound to happen! Your mom teaches u when your a child not to play in the street! The chaos that comes with the paparazzi acting like fools makes it impossible for anyone to make safe choices.”

According to TMZ, ”“A paparazzo attempting to shoot photos of Justin Bieber’s Ferrari was hit by another car and killed this evening — although Bieber was NOT behind the wheel of the Ferrari.” Apparently, the paparazzo believed that Justin was behind the wheel, and saw that he had been pulled over for speeding. Justin released a statement regarding the incident that says, ““While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim… Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves.”

TMZ also claims the photog who was killed was named Chris Guerra, and pursued Justin’s Ferrari “because of the singer’s reckless driving history and alleged pot smoking [earlier in the day] which made it a big story to follow.”

What do you think of this whole story. Does the paparazzi go too far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments/in our poll.

miley’s not being mean about it. i think its right. the paps never resect peoples privacy, and although its their jobs they need to learn when they’ve gone too far. what happened to diana was horrible, and a lesson that they should notch it down. i feel bad for the family members but safety to a celebrity and the paparazzi, bystanders, etc. should come before their jobs.

i think that sometimes the pops do go to far but its their job out of all respect miley was nice for trying to put justin but at the end of the day. Miley said that “your mom teaches you when your a child not to play in the streets i bet her mom told her if she doesn’t have anything nice to don’t say anything at all people like her irritate me justin is what…18 he can speak for himself miley needs to stay in her place she needs to worry about her life if their the pops are just trying to make a living for their family she is so selfish at the end of the day it was nice but she was way out of line.

Well, that was a really nice thing that Miley Cyrus did but she doesn’t have to be so mean about it like seriously. The dang Paparrizzi do get up in people’s businesses wayyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyyyyy to much but that’s there job like Justin Bieber and all ya people out there; they don’t wanna get fired just as much as you don’t wanna get dropped by your record label

Yes, the paparazzi go too far, but it disturbs me the the young starlet had no remorse for someone who had just died. It makes me think that the only humans she cares that get killed are celebrities. Do we forget that this is what people do for a living? Do we not understand that everyone has bills to pay and mouths to feed? Is this what society has come to? Has it come to people showing no grief or respect for the dead? On the other hand, this may be the first time I respect Justin Bieber. I believe he understands what REALLY happened that day. The death of a man, possibly with a wife or child. My heart goes out to the family of Chris Guerra.

I totally agree, the one thing I’ve always thought about paparazzi is that what if it’s their only job option available? Although, some take it too far. IDK
