SAG Awards 2013: Red Carpet Pics of Jennifer Lawrence, Lea Michele & More!

The 19th Annual SAG Awards took place in L.A. on Sunday evening, and like any other red carpet event, the ladies of TV and film were looking as lovely as ever. There were gowns aplenty as a number of different trends were represented.

Though some tried to dress for the season (it is winter, after all!) some threw caution to the wind and wore whatever kind of look they like. When you’re an actress working and living in L.A., we guess you can get away with it!

We broke down some of our fave looks last night by color, so see who went with with trend below!

Glee stars Naya Rivera and Jenna Ushkowitz, along with SAG winner Anne Hathaway, kept things basic in black. However, we love that each lady went with a different style, showing that black can be done in a non-boring way. Anne kept things a little demure in her Giambattista Valli Couture dress (did you know her Jimmy Choo shoes were vegan?!), while Naya went down the sexy route in her Donna Karan Atelier dress with a plunging neckline. Jenna was somewhere in between the two looks, as she showed just the right amount of skin in her halter dress.

While our earlier red carpet stunners went with black, these ladies added some much needed color to the SAG red carpet. Glee star Lea Michele stunned in a pink Valentino gown — does she ever look bad? Vampire DiariesNina Dobrev went with a similar color palette, but a completely different look in her pink-hued Elie Saab frock. Lea’s was more ball gown, while Nina’s was more fashion-forward and sleek. (We love the sleeved look!) Another lady adding color to the carpet was Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland who looked elegant in a printed purple dress.

We already gave you guys a best in blue showdown with SAG winner Jennifer Lawrence and Amanda Seyfried, (Amanda is in the lead!) but now we’re adding American Idol star Jordin Sparks to the mix! While Jen’s Dior Haute Couture gown was extremely similar to Amanda’s Zac Posen, Jordin’s Nicole Miller dress did blue in a completely different cut. We’re not surprised all these ladies went with this blue hue — they all have great fashion sense!

And last but not least, we have our ladies who stepped a little outside the box. Glee star Vanessa Lengies was wonderful in winter white, while her co-star Amber Riley rocked a deep purple Christian Siriano frock. Modern Family star Ariel Winter ditched color all together and went with a nude Alex Perry dress with flower-like detailing on the sleeves.

So, who do YOU think rocked the red carpet at last night’s SAG Awards? Share your pick for best dressed in the comments!

I’m so happy that you mentioned Rothko in the deospirticn of this piece because Rothko is the reason this made me stop scrolling down the page of various pieces of art and go, WOW! Rothko is my all-time favorite artist, and I absolutely LOVE your work on this. Very creative, as well as a fantastic use of color and recycled materials.
