One of Miley Cyrus‘ best songs to date has to be “Party in the U.S.A.” and if you didn’t already know, the infectious tune was actually penned by British pop star Jessie J. Recently, Jessie’s demo version of the song was released, and while it’s somewhat similar to Miley’s version, it has its differences.
It definitely has a more techno-y sound to it, as well as some lyric changes. Instead of singing “Yeah, yeah/It’s a party in the U.S.A.,” Jessie sings, “Yeah, yeah/I think I’m gonna like the U.S.A.” The lyric change makes sense, since Jessie (at the time) was a British singer trying to make it in America.
While only a snippet of the song was released, it’s enough to compare the two! Take a listen to Jessie’s version below.

ehmm the song was written by jessie j, you have no idea or what?? she gave the song to miley, she had lot of success with it. But jessie j still sings it sometimes, ’cause she still wrote the song.

Definitely Miley, can’t beat the original! I’m not a huge fan of Miley, but there’s nothing wrong with her singing!
