Demi Lovato is ready to drop some new music. The 20-year-old singer announced on her Facebook page Tuesday, that she will be releasing a new single titled “Heart Attack” on March 4. Along with the announcement, she included the cover art, which features her in a blue top, black nails, chunky jewelry and an edgy up ‘do.
In addition to the cover art, she included a video announcement that featured her in a voice over, saying: “For a while, I could tell that when people talked to me they knew my story. I think I’ve opened up more on this album. My life began to evolve and I started to grow. These are songs about the celebration of life and how it rewarding it can be. This is what this albums about.” There’s also a short snippet of the song at the end of the video portion of the announcement.
This will be the follow up to Demi’s last album, Skyscraper, which featured the hugely popular tune “Give Your Heart a Break.” Also, this is her first venture into music (again) after her stint on FOX’s singing competition The X Factor. Though it’s not confirmed if she’ll be back for a second season, the fact she is making new music might signal that a return isn’t in her future.
Also, for all those Demi fans in the L.A. area, she’ll be on hand at the opening of Top Shop at the Grove on Valentine’s Day (Thursday, February 14), and will do a little performance at 3:30 PM.
So excited for the @topshop opening @ the Grove on Feb 14th! Join me to celebrate with a special performance in front of the store @ 3:30pm!
