Over the years, the word “controversy” has often been associated with Miley Cyrus. Despite being a former Disney Channel tween queen, her image has never come off as squeaky clean. (i.e. The Annie Leibovitz photos, the salvia incident, pole-dancing at the Teen Choice Awards, etc.) Today is no different.

Last night, an Instagram account with the username “@mileyxxcyrus” posted pictures of what appears to be the ex-Hannah Montana star smoking marijuana. Though Miley’s full face is never shown, the tattoos on her finger and wrist are clear to viewers. In another snapshot, Miley’s seen holding her dog, Bean, with what looks like weed spread out on the table in front of her.

Both fans and curious onlookers blew up the Twittersphere. So much so, that Miley herself took notice. Though she never outright denies that she’s the person in the photos, she did deny that she posted them:

This isn’t the first time the singer/actress has been associated with pot. For her 19th birthday, Kelly Osbourne got her a Bob Marley cake to which she responded, “You know you’re a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake.”

Earlier this year, Justin Bieber took a hit in the media after photographs of him allegedly smoking hit the Internet. He too took to the time to tweet a response, saying: “Trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up.” And “I see all of u. I hear all of u. I never want to let any of you down. I love u. and..thank u.”

What do you have to say about this story? Or Justin’s? Leave your thoughts in the comments below. We look forward to hearing your thoughts!

I honestly have to say tthat, it doesn’t matter if these people smoke pot like seriously.. nowadays.. who doesn’t ? This world is Messed, but Miley and Justin maybe celeberities But they are human and are capable of making their own decisions. It’s their life and they should be able to do what they choose to.
I still Love Love them and respect them.

You know what? Honestly? I don’t think its a big deal. Smoking has done nothing wrong for anyone. No one has died from an over-dose, used it to commit suicide, has caused car accidents, etc. etc. WEED HAS CAUSED NO HARM. All of these Justin fans that cut themselves the situation and all the fans that now might do something stupid for Miley, honestly, I believe are just attention seekers.

Why not make a big deal when you hear about other celebs. doing hard-core drugs? Why is it okay for them to drink and get stupid. Drunk. Car accidents. Deaths. Why is all that okay to society, and yet weed isn’t?

It makes no sense that people are fighting over something that makes a person feel good, relaxed, and happy vs. some other drug/alcohol that makes a person even more depressed to the brinks of suicide.

To all the people that smoke weed. Do what you gotta do YOU ARE HUMAN!!! No offense, but if you weren’t in the “spot light” of the high life of a celeb. No one would even care what you did with your life. You are human, just like everyone else. I am sure people did not cut themselves over their friends smoking weed, so why should anyone else be any different?

Anyways. To make my point clear. Weed does not kill, does not depress, does not harm.
Its not a bad thing and it shouldn’t be the end of the world if someone does it.
