While we’re totally familiar with what it’s like to work with Zendaya Coleman — we did spend 30 days with her, after all — we thought you’d appreciate hearing the juicy details of the ins and outs of spending time with the Shake It Up! actress (and new Dancing with the Stars competitor!) from her latest love interest, Trevor Jackson.
In his music video for “Like We Grown,” Trevor, who you may recognize from Let It Shine and Austin & Ally, falls instantly for Daya’s character. During shooting, Z exclaimed in the behind-the-scenes footage, “Obviously, I’m really excited to be a part of this video. I’ve known Trev for a while now and he’s a really good friend of mine and he’s really great, so here I am. He asked me to be in the video, and I’m really excited to be here, so it’s gonna be great.”

Teen: How did you come up with the concept of “Like We Grown?”
Trevor Jackson: [With the help of Mike Ho, the director.] The concept is basically the combination of the director and [my] method of approaching a girl. Basically, our relationship unfolds and we end up falling for each other ‘like we’re grown.’
Teen: Zendaya’s featured in the music video with you, but doesn’t sing. Is a duet in the works?
Trevor: That is a possibility, so we’ll have to see what happens.

Teen: What about other possible collabs? Who would be a dream duet partner?
Trevor: Oh man, Wiz, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and so many more. I would love to work with anyone who is doing their thing.
Teen: We’ve seen you on Disney Channel before. Would you consider a guest-star stint on Shake It Up! with Zendaya, or any other DC shows?
Trevor: Disney has been really good to me, so if a role comes up, I hope they’ll keep me in mind.
Teen: From working closely with Daya during your shoot, what can you say about her that her fans may not know?
Trevor: Zendaya is a truly supportive friend and has a sweet tooth like I have never seen, haha.
What’s next for you as far as your music goes?
Trevor: I’ll be back in the studio working hard to make my debut album the best it can be.

I watched the video, and really is very good, trevor is a great artist and zendaya OMG, she is amazing dancer and singer, so these two are a great combination, i really like the idea to see to Trevor singing feat Wiz, because wiz actually is the best representative of hip hop and is my favorite artist of this genre.
