While we should be used to the emotional roller coaster that Pretty Little Liars always manages to put us through, the one from last night’s episode was on overdrive. All of the four girls had a story that would send most of us to the crazy house. In fact, that’s exactly what happens to one Little Liar! Check out the biggest moments from “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” below, then tell us which girl you think had it hardest.
1. What happened with Hanna? Ever since her mom hit Officer Wilden with her car, Hanna’s been acting strange around her friends. Of course, we don’t blame her considering we know that he went missing after the incident. At one point, Ashley thinks she sees Wilden across the street, so she’s out of the woods… Right? Maybe not, considering Hanna and Aria dump his police car in the lake containing the incriminating video of Ashley’s attack. (You know “A” made copies.)
2. What happened with Aria? With Mama Fitz kicking Maggie and Malcolm, her and Ezra’s son, out of their condo, Ezra’s ex and child may be moving to Rosewood for the long haul if Maggie finds work nearby. In the meantime, Aria offers to babysit while Maggie goes on a job interview and Ezra tutors. But then Malcolm jumps off the bed, scrapes his chin, and gets stitches, forcing his parents to reunite at the hospital. Since Aria’s not immediate family, she has to leave the room — and her boyfriend with his new family. Guess someone won’t be offering to babysit anymore…
3. What happened with Emily? Spencer finally comes clean about Toby to her friends, but Emily doesn’t want to believe it. (He did help her come out, after all.) So, Emily embarks on her own mission to find Toby without the help of her friends, despite Spencer urging her to forget about it. While at the police station, Emily checks her mom’s computer for clues, but then receives a text from “Toby,” telling her to stop looking for him, and to meet him in some random alley. Obviously, that never happens. Instead, she sees the infamous blonde girl in the red coat walk into a building, so she chases after her. When Emily doesn’t find her, she heads back to her car, which has a newly-smashed window. Inside, there’s a note that says “Toby is no more” –signed by “A.”
4. What happened with Spencer? As if the girl wasn’t going through enough torture with the idea that her former love may’ve tried to kill her in her shower last week, she finds what could possibly be his dead body in the woods! Because Mona’s the seed of all evil, Spencer follows her into the darkness and stumbles across a fresh corpse with a familiar-looking tattoo; the same tattoo Toby has on his hip. Before she reveals his face, which was covered by a helmet, Mona says “He’s dead,” and runs away. Spencer jets after her, but never catches up. By the end, Spencer is being taken away by the cops to Radley Sanitarium as a Jane Doe.
