We’ve got to see the official Capitol portraits for Effie Trinket, Caesar Flickerman, Haymitch Abernathy, and Cinna but this is the big one! Though Catching Fire Victory Tour posters were revealed a couple of weeks ago, this one certainly gives away a LOT.
In the latest character poster debut on MSN Movies, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) is standing next to a chair wearing a very elaborate (what we assume is a) wedding dress, holding a white rose. This is an interesting reveal, since they’re letting fans see Katniss’ wedding dress up close and personal. The last time there was a movie wedding this big (think Breaking Dawn — Part I), film makers did everything in their power to make sure the dress wasn’t revealed until fans saw the actual movie.
We kind of like that they decided to show fans the dress right away! Nothing is worse than waiting, and considering that we have to wait until November to see Catching Fire, we’ll take all the sneak peeks we can get!

Lets be honest , if any of you actually read the book you know that she has to try on more than one dress, All they did by putting this picture out is make people who HAVEN’T read the book, wonder why shes getting married. We (people who have read it) know there isnt actually a wedding but they don’t so chill out. The movie did everything in its power to focus on the actual violence and control the Capitol uses on the districts, but by doing so they changed a lot of crucial parts to the book. But remember its a movie, and they have to cater to the whole audience, not just the book fans.
I am so disappointed with how far they have strayed from the book with these movies. There was a real story behind all the violence in the games and the producers missed the boat completely. I’m not impressed. And this dress? Ugh, not even close to the description of the original, it’s more on the line of what it’ supposed to become.
They are going to do it again, they will “hollywoodize” it and veer as far from the original story as they can…I’m disappointed already so I may not even watch.
Not consistent with the book and not impressed.
It IS a wedding dress, but there’s no wedding. It’s a photo shoot for the capitol. That’s all I’ll saw without giving away the plot. If you haven’t read the books, you should!
yeh they dont actually do anything like this in the book.
its just a dress
Just because it’s white does not mean it’s a wedding dress.
OMG OMG OMG OMG CANNOT WAIT WATSOEVA!
