Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have gone their separate ways. That much we know for certain. She’s off in California recording her fourth album sans engagement ring; he’s out in his native land of Australia, so literally, they’ve gone their separate ways. But the extent of their separation is what everyone’s talking about.

Last week, Miley attempted to clear the air via Twitter, after rumors of Liam cheating on her with January Jones/flirting with Emma Watson began to circulate. She tweets, “I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn’t call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining.” So that should’ve been that. Right? It’s straight from one of the sources in question after all.

But, fast forward to a week later, and more outlets are “confirming” the news. According to the New York Post, “Miley and Liam are done; it’s over. She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem for him.” It continues, “They have broken up before, and are broken up again now. There was drama because she suspected he had a wandering eye. And she recently tweeted a denial that he cheated… While Miley has insisted they are still together, right now they are very, very much apart.”
