There must’ve been a fluke with last week‘s Glee because the show went back to it’s usual, out-of-nowhere storylines last night. (Ryder has a problem with Unique? What?) So, we’re ranking all the tiffs from the “Feud” episode. Read on, then jot down your personal rankings in the comments!
Blaine vs. Sue: C-
It would’ve received a lower score had it not been for our overall love for Darren Criss. Otherwise, a solid D would’ve sufficed for this WTF battle. Blaine takes on Mariah Carey (which is ballsy for anyone); Sue takes on Nicki Minaj (and it’s really uncomfortable). And Sue wins! Now, Blaine’s on the Cheerios, and ready to take them down from the inside. Umm… when did that plan hatch?
Santana vs. Brody: A-
We’d like to point out — once again — that we are ecstatic to see our fave sassy girl on a regular basis. As for the feud, Santana figures out Brody’s after-school activity of selling his body to women for money. (He says it’s how he pays for his tuition. Were there no other jobs??) Since Rachel’s on Brody’s side and doesn’t believe anything out of the ordinary is going on, Santana confronts him head on at NYADA. The only thing that kept this dual from an even higher ranking is that it wasn’t a duet. Remember Santana’s fight with Sebastian back in the day? That was epic!
Finn vs. Will: B
Does anyone else still find it awkward that a teacher is feuding with his former student in front of his current students? No, just us? We get that Finn kissed Will’s fiancee, but Will’s a grown man. Deal with this elsewhere. However, we will appreciate Glee‘s attempt at taking on Backstreet Boys and N*SYNC.
Unique vs. Ryder: C+
Seriously, where did this come from? All of a sudden, Ryder’s having trouble accepting Unique (formerly known as Wade) as a woman. So they duke it out until Ryder comes to terms with it. If it wasn’t for Alex Newell‘s killer pipes, this is pushing F territory. SIDE NOTE: We heart that the show’s trying to give Ryder a love interest. Even if it is only via Internet right now.
Brody vs. Finn: A+++
Sure the violent showdown lasts for a hot minute, but that hotel room ends up a hot mess. And the award for Best Line Ever goes to Finn Hudson: “Stay away from my future wife!”
