The casting news for the upcoming Divergent film has been on fire lately. (Have you seen the choices for Tris’ parents?!) But before the film, starring Shailene Woodley, hits theaters in March 2014, the final book in the trilogy will be released. And, as of today, it has a proper title.

At midnight last night, author Veronica Roth revealed the name of Divergent, Book 3: Allegiant. With the second novel in the series dubbed Insurgent, Initiates (or fans of the franchise) have been guessing what the third and final book would be called. In a 2012 interview, Veronica said “You gotta have the -ent (ending),” so titles such as Emergent, Convergent, Resurgent (and even Detergent) emerged, but obviously no one guessed it in the long run as it ends in -iant instead.

Though not too many details on its plot are given, Allegiant will still follow the life of heroine Tris Prior. Throughout the pages, she’ll have to face “impossible choices about where her loyalties lie and how she will live in the world beyond the walls of her dystopian Chicago.”

Allegiant hits store shelves on October 22, 2013. Is it on your must-read list? Have you even started the Divergent trilogy yet? Tell us in the comments below, or on our Divergent message board!
