While it took months of speculation and teasing to finally confirm the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel, buzz about a trilogy based on Kristen Stewart‘s character took all of two weeks to spark.

During a screening for contract-killer film The Iceman, SWATH screenwriter David Koepp teased, “There’s plenty to go. There’s also a great idea for a third movie.”

But wait a minute, what about the second film? Don’t worry, he (minorly) delved into the details, “It’s like The Empire Strikes Back. I felt like they had a really, really great idea that seemed like a natural extension of the story… Snow White is queen now, but the mirror is still there. It doesn’t bode well for our innocent little queen.”

Do we smell KStew gone bad in the works? Previous rumors suggested that SWATH 2 would focus more on Chris Hemsworth‘s Huntsman character in a possible prequel. Others claimed that it would be more of a romantic storyline.

“The sequel would probably have a bit more love in it. [The original] is an all-out, balls-to-the-wall action adventure movie,” Director Rupert Sanders told us exclusively while on the London set. Of course, that was when it was believed that he would oversee any future productions of the film.
