Last month, the 22-year-old actor took a picture with a fan on location for X-Men: Days of Future Past, leading many to already expect his part in the new film, despite his being unsure if he was tapped to return to the franchise as recently as April of this year. But, thanks to director Bryan Singer, we now know for certain. As a caption to his latest Twitter photo (on the left), he writes, “”Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind.” -JFK @lucastill #xmen #DaysOfFuturePast.”
Lucas, as Havok once again, will be joining First Class buddies Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, as well as members of the original trilogy which started in 2000, like Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry, and newcomers like Booboo Stewart.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled for release on May 23, 2014. What do you think of Havok’s comeback? Which character are you most excited to see return (or come to life for the first time)? Spill!
